In the battle between the technical masters, Kenny Omega came out on top against Zack Sabre Jr.

During the AEW Dynamite: Blockbuster June 10 taping, a clip aired showing New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Sabre Jr. challenging Omega for a singles match at Forbidden Door.

On June 24, the two superstars came to blows after TMDK attacked The Young Bucks, prompting Omega to come to their aid.

Kenny Omega and Zack Sabre Jr. last fought in August 2018 in NJPW, where the Canadian veteran emerged victorious.

Omega, meanwhile, has been looking to get back into the World Championship title picture in AEW.

As expected, Kenny Omega and Zack Sabre Jr. put on a tactical masterclas.

The action also moved outside the ring, with the referee giving both men a bit of leeway before admonishing them for an extended stay outside.

As he has done in his recent matches against Adam Priest and Jack Perry, Sabre Jr. worked on Omega’s right arm.

Shortly afterward, Omega regained control of the match by hitting a suicide dive on his opponent over the top rope. Omega briefly worked on the neck of Sabre Jr. before hitting a Snapdragon Suplex.

Zack Sabre retaliated by attacking the former AEW World Champion’s injured right arm.

Omega then hit a V-Trigger before attempting an avalanche One-Winged Angel, only to get caught in a chokehold.

The veteran then followed up with a few hard-hitting shots and spiked Zack with a piledriver. Sabre Jr. hit back by executing a Zack Driver, earning a near pinfall.

With both superstars winded, Omega managed to hit a One-Winged Angel for a victory.
