Former NXT Champion Ambushed By Debuting Star After WWE Main Event
WWE NXT kicked off tonight with the newly crowned Women’s Champion, Kendal Grey, celebrating her title win over Lola Vice at the Great American Bash this past weekend.
She celebrated in the ring with her friend, Wrenn Sinclair, as both women left the Premium Live Event as champions. However, the duo was interrupted by Kelani Jordan, who had been feuding with them for the last several weeks.
It seemed like Jordan was about to challenge Grey for the title before Tatum Paxley jumped from the crowd to attack her, leading to Robert Stone announcing a match between the two for tonight’s main event on WWE NXT.
Kelani Jordan picks up a huge win on WWE NXT
Both women wrestled a highly entertaining match, which turned in Jordan’s favor after Paxley missed with a spinning heel kick and hit her leg into the turnbuckle. Jordan utilized this injury to her advantage throughout the match.
She kept going after Paxley’s injured ankle whenever she needed to take control of the match. Kelani ultimately picked up the win after hitting Paxley with a variation of a Spinning Angle Slam before following it up with the Split-legged Moonsault from the top rope.
Jordan pinned Paxley fair and square before leaving the ring as she looked on at the former NXT Women’s Champion. Before the show went off air, Paxley suffered a brutal attack by a new face.

Indie wrestling star, Nikki Blackheart, who wrestled under the name Martinez in a dark match on NXT in May 2026, jumped Paxley from behind. She took her out with a massive clothesline and a couple of heavy knee strikes before hitting multiple backbreakers on the former champion as she stood tall in the ring when the show went off air.
