Kendal Grey Set To Face WWE Legend In Her First NXT Women’s Title Defense

Kendal Grey has been a revelation on WWE NXT ever since she came up to the black-and-silver brand from Evolve. The 25-year-old quickly won over the NXT Universe and hasn’t slowed down since.

John Cena handpicked her to be a part of the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, and she proved the WWE legend was right in choosing her as she emerged victorious, defeating several stars such as Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan, and others in the match.

Grey has gone on to supersede her performances since then and even challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand and Deliver, but fell short in the triple threat match as Lola Vice won the belt.

Kendal Grey finally got her hands on the WWE NXT Women’s Championship

This past weekend at the Great American Bash, Grey ultimately got the better of Vice and became the new NXT Women’s Champion after an intense battle with the Latin superstar.

She kicked off tonight’s episode of WWE NXT as she celebrated her title win with the fans and Wrenn Sinclair, as both women ate cake in the middle of the ring, as they both left GAB as champions.

Later on tonight’s show, Grey was speaking to Robert Stone regarding her first title defense, and WWE Legend, Nattie, stepped up to the champion. Kendal didn’t back down from the challenge, and the WWE NXT General Manager made the match official for next week.
