Ex-World Champion Returns To In-Ring Action On RAW After 49 Days
The WWE Universe witnessed a massive title change on Monday Night RAW last week as the Street Profits defeated Austin Theory and Bron Breakker of The Vision to become new World Tag Team Champions.
The duo was out celebrating their win with the fans and former NXT Champion, Joe Hendry. The Profits thanked the fans and Seth Rollins for helping them win the titles before Hendry sang a song dissing The Vision.
With Logan Paul out with a long-term injury and Bron Breakker still reeling from the gruesome match with Seth Rollins, Austin Theory was left alone on the red brand tonight, and Hendry joked about the same.
Joe Hendry makes in-ring WWE RAW return
This seemed to have riled the former United States Champion, and Theory came out to the ring to put an end to Joe Hendry’s song. He claimed that he could beat the former TNA World Champion any time, and Hendry immediately challenged him to a match.
His match with Theory marked his first in-ring match in 49 days, with his last one coming on the May 11 episode of RAW, where he teamed with The Street Profits to defeat the Vision.
Hendry repeated that result tonight as well, in singles action, though the match ended in Hendry’s favor as he hit the Sitout Side Slam on Theory to get the win.
