A former WWE Intercontinental Champion took some massive digs on Cody Rhodes. The star in question is Val Venis.

Val Venis is known for his time in the WWE in the late 1990s and early to mid 2000s. He became the Intercontinental Champion multiple times during his tenure as well. After his departure from the company in 2008, Val wrestled on the indie wrestling scene until 2023.

Meanwhile, Val Venis took a brutal shot at the former Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Val also took a shot at CM Punk in between.

Taking to the X social media platform, Val Venis talked about the state championships Cody Rhodes won during his high-school days while calling him “Donkey Cud.” Venis also mentioned CM Punk trying MMA:

Donkey Cud Cody Rhodes has a couple of state championships from his high school days. That’s already a better wrestling pedigree than CM Punk had before trying MMA.”

Val Venis further claimed that Cody Rhodes will not survive a real fight if he is locked inside a cage with him:

But lock “Cud-Chew” Cody in an MMA cage with The Big Valbowski, Val Venis, and the Cody fantasy ends the moment the door closes.”

Wrestling trophies won’t prepare him for surviving a real fight. There is a word for someone like Cud-Chew Cody with confidence weighted far more than his abilities.”

Cody Rhodes on when his in-ring career might end

Speaking with Ariel Helwani recently, Cody Rhodes admitted that he will not be wrestling bell to bell 10 years from now:

I do think it does take a toll, at a certain point and I don’t think in 10 years I’ll still be going. I think there will be another QB1 of WWE at that point.”

“As far as in-ring competition and I don’t think that’s breaking news to anyone. Turning 41 in a week and I feel the best I’ve ever felt as an athlete, but I do think in 10 years, I will no longer be wrestling bell to bell. No.”

Cody also stated that if he were to sign a new contract, it would be for five years:

I think five years would be a, you know… Five years sounds good. Like, if I was to sign a new contract, maybe it would be for five years.”

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes recently lost his WWE Championship to Sami Zayn and it will be interesting to see what’s next for him.
