BREAKING: Former WWE Star Wins First AEW Title At Redemption 2026
Andrade has been involved with the Don Callis Family ever since he made his return to AEW a few months back. He initially joined Don Callis’ group and helped them on multiple occasions.
However, he turned on the Family at Forbidden Door after it became clear that Don Callis wouldn’t get him into the AEW World Title picture.
Since then, he has vowed to take away everything from the group. Following his path, Andrade earned a shot at the AEW National Championship at Redemption.
He took on the champion, DCF’s Mark Davis, in a huge title match tonight and almost immediately won the title from him. He hit him with Dia De Los Muertos to start the match.
Andrade wins his first AEW Championship at Redemption
Andrade earned a near-fall with the first move of the match and began to take control of the match. He didn’t hold the advantage for long, though, as Davis clawed his way back.
Davis used his superior size to control the match, even kicking out at one from a couple of pin attempts from Andrade. He dominated for large parts of the match, leaving Andrade spent.
As the Dunkzilla went for a piledriver onto the ring apron, Andrade reversed it into a Hurricurana and sent him into the turnbuckle.

El Idolo then went up the top rope and hit a massive Moonsault to the outside and took out Davis. As they both came back into the ring, Andrade got on the front foot once again.
He powered through a Mark Davis comeback to hit him with Dia De Los Muertos once again and followed it up with the DM to pick up the win and become the new AEW National Champion.
