Major AEW Star Officially Confirms Departure After 4 Years

A former AEW Women’s World Champion announced her departure from a major outlet. The star in discussion is Thunder Rosa.

Thunder Rosa gained prominence during her time in AEW, where she has been signed since 2020 and has also held the Women’s World Championship once during her tenure. La Mera Mera was also a part of the Busted Open Radio on SiriusXM since 2022, where she represented Tony Khan’s promotion.

It was recently announced that SiriusXM is coming into a partnership with the Stamford-based promotion to form ‘WWE Radio.’ After the big deal was made, the AEW star, Thunder Rosa has departed from SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio.

AEW star confirmed departure with a long message

The AEW star, Thunder Rosa took to the X social media platform to announce her departure from Busted Open on SiriusXM after four years with the following message:

After four unforgettable years, it’s time to turn the page. Some chapters in life change you forever, and this has been one of them. Being part of Busted Open has been so much more than sitting behind a microphone. It gave me the opportunity to share my perspective, connect with wrestling fans around the world, and celebrate the sport that has given me so much.”

Rosa also thanked Tony Khan for allowing her to represent AEW on SiriusXM while thanking her co-hosts Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, and more:

I’m especially grateful to Tony Khan for believing in me, trusting me to represent AEW, and allowing me to contribute my voice to one of the most respected wrestling shows in our industry.”

To Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, Bully Ray, Mark Henry, the producers, and everyone behind the scenes: thank you for welcoming me, challenging me, inspiring me, and making me feel like family. Every conversation made me better, and every show reminded me why I love this business.”

Thunder Rosa concluded by thanking the fans for the journey:
