Bayley injured her opponent during her most recent match.

Bayley has been a part of the WWE roster for the past several years. She has been one of the pillars of the women’s division. The Role Model has been a part of several iconic moments over the years.

Sadly, her booking has taken a major hit in recent months. It always looks like she is getting overlooked by WWE while Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are involved in meaningful storylines. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Bayley competed in a singles match against her former tag team partner, Lyra Valkyria. During the match, the Role Model hit Lyra with a stiff elbow that resulted in her bleeding from the nose and a possible broken nose. Lyra ended up winning the bout. After the match, Lyra hit the Role Model with a Nightwing on the steel steps. It is also rumored that this could be the Role Model’s final match in WWE since her contract is expiring this year and there has been no confirmation on if she has signed a new deal.

Stevie Richards clarified whether Bayley intentionally injured Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event

Speaking on the Stevie Richards Show, the former WWE star made it clear that Bayley’s stiff elbow wasn’t meant to injure the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion. He also added that Lyra shouldn’t have tucked in her chin while the Role Model was about to hit her with the elbow. He also suggested that the WWE veteran should’ve used her other hand to push Lyra’s chin back before hitting her with the elbow.

“No, it’s 100% an accident, because that’s, that’s the key. This is why I would want to do the virtual wrestling school, but it’s just, it’s so boring to most people, but looking at that and knowing everybody makes mistakes, Bayley didn’t mean it at all, that’s for sure. But these little fundamentals pick, it was. Like standing in the corner, I have no doubt, ten times out of ten, Bayley would punch the chin back, hit the forearm. This is a little bit weirder of a position, but dare I say, it’s a little bit nastier to push underneath the chin as she’s literally on the mat and come way, way from up high and hit her with a big forearm.”

Fans will be disappointed if this ends up being Bayley’s final WWE match.
