WWE Star Confirms Departure, Publicly Calls Out Triple H & Nick Khan
WWE star Santos Escobar is set to become a free agent in a couple of days.
The Stamford-based company released Santos Escobar on April 24, 2026, ending his seven-year tenure. His 90-day no-compete clause is almost up, and he is, very soon, about to become a free agent.
Two days ahead of the end of his 90-day no-compete clause, he sent a bold message, calling out WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Triple H Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan on social media.

In his latest X post, Santos Escobar reminded everyone that in just two days, he’ll become a free agent. He shared that he is grateful for the people, places, and circumstances he was put in, stating that he has no regrets. He promised that he’ll continue to grow as a pro wrestler and leave a mark wherever he goes.
He tweeted:
2 Days: WWE. I gave everything and that’s what was taken, no regrets. Grateful for the people, the places and circumstances I was put in. I’ll keep growing my legend and my indentation in the industry. Watch me Paul and Nick.”
Escobar previously quit WWE after his contract expired at midnight on October 6, 2025. The reason for his departure was revealed as his dissatisfaction with the direction his on-screen character was heading.
He was then removed from the active roster and shifted to the alumni section of the website. But, only a few days later, the Stamford-based company rehired him with a new offer with more money and promises of better creative direction.
Sadly, his latest run could only last six months. From October 2025 to April 2026, he only wrestled in four matches, two at NXT live events in Tennessee and two at AAA on Fox in Mexico.
