Liv Morgan’s time in WWE at the moment feels cursed. Literally!

After battling a legitimate injury in the second half of 2025, she made a full recovery. She returned at Survivor Series: WarGames in November, reuniting with Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day.

Before her injury, the company’s creative team had been planning a push for her, which they followed through on post-return.

In January 2026, Liv Morgan won the Women’s Royal Rumble for the first time, which was her ninth appearance in the match format.

She subsequently started a feud with then-Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, whom she defeated at WrestleMania 42 to become a 3-time world champion.

Despite WrestleMania taking place in April, Morgan has yet to defend her title for the first time in her latest reign. Her title defense against IYO SKY was made official for SummerSlam after the Japanese superstar won the Queen of the Ring tournament and chose Morgan as her choice of champion.

While Liv Morgan is a confident champion, her beliefs seem to have been shaken after running into Danhausen, who is doing his bit to put her title reign in jeopardy.

In addition to ‘cursing’ Morgan at Night of Champions, Danhausen cursed her at the SummerSlam 2026 Kickoff event, which resulted in her getting chased by Minihausens.

IYO SKY’s Unsettling 3-Word Post For Liv Morgan

Since choosing Liv Morgan as her opponent for SummerSlam, IYO SKY has been jumped by the women of The Judgment Day more than once.

The Genius of the Sky, however, has pushed back at every opportunity she got, including during the July 20 edition of WWE Raw.

On Monday, Morgan was by the ringside during Dominik Mysterio’s singles match against Joe Hendry. Earlier in the evening, Mysterio and JD McDonagh cornered Danhausen, demanding that he return their $100,000, which he had stolen a few weeks ago.

During the men’s singles match, Morgan distracted Hendry by jumping on the apron, giving Mysterio the chance to regain the advantage.

Shortly afterward, Danhausen arrived at the entrance in his car with IYO SKY in tow. SKY ran towards the ring and attacked Morgan, neutralizing her with a flurry of maneuvers.

Danhausen capitalized on the referee’s distraction and hit Mysterio with a Danhausen Death Drop (Triple D), following which Hendry covered “Dirty Dom” for the win.

Later, IYO SKY shared a couple of pictures with Danhausen backstage with a “You are cursed” caption, directed at the Women’s World Champion.

On Monday, it was also announced that Danhausen will go one-on-one with Dominik Mysterio, with the winner getting to keep the $100,000 that Danhausen stole.
