Top WWE Star Breaks Silence After Losing Title At Major Show: “I Wasn’t Ready”
A major WWE star opened up on a devastating title loss recently at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The star in question is Brie Bella.
During the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Brie Bella made her WWE return. She later teamed with a returning Paige at WrestleMania 42 to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Brie and Paige also had multiple successful title defenses throughout their reign.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event last weekend, Brie Bella and Paige unfortunately lost their Women’s Tag Team titles to Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of the Fatal Influence. Meanwhile, Brie opened up on losing the tag titles.
WWE star reacted to losing her title recently
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, WWE star Brie Bella revealed that she and Paige were not ready to lose the Women’s Tag Titles, especially at Madison Square Garden:
One, devastating. I wasn’t ready for Paige and I to lose the titles. We’ve been just enjoying this tag team run so much. To be at Madison Square Garden, you don’t want to come out a loser, you want to come out a winner.”
Brie also opened up on why the Saturday Night’s Main Event from MSG was special and opening the show:
That show was really special because they were doing a lot of interaction with the celebrities and pro athletes, and with Fanatics Fest in town, it was wild backstage. It gave me a little anxiety. Paige and I kind of tried to stay hidden in a spot because it can get overwhelming.”
When you’re opening up the show, you need to make sure to be ready, be at Gorilla before it started, and so you get those nerves. Those nerves are pretty wild.”
Brie Bella also deemed Fatal Influence as cheaters after losing to them:
Fatal Influence, cheaters. We all saw that, and they’re gonna not be happy what karma brings to them.”
Brie concluded by explaining how SNME was a blood fest:
Saturday Night’s Main Event was the blood fest for the women. I will take credit. I popped Fallon in the mouth.”
Fallon probably is like, Brie, be careful what you wish for, because you’re going to get a receipt. It was an aggressive match, and we gave it our all, but we just couldn’t pull it off.” [h/t wrestlingnews.co]
It remains to be seen what’s next for Brie Bella and Paige after losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.
