6-Time WWE World Champion Confirms He Will Never Wrestle Again

A former WWE World Champion has made a huge revelation.

Batista turned a lot of heads when he first made his WWE debut. He eventually joined Evolution. Under the mentorship of Triple H and Ric Flair, his career flourished.

However, things between the three of them started going downhill after The Animal won the 2005 Royal Rumble match. This led him to eventually turn on The Game and then challenge him for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. The former WWE star was able to emerge victorious in the contest and win his first World Title. Despite being one of the top guys in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Batista decided to give that all up to become an actor in Hollywood. The Animal made his WWE return in 2014 and then again in 2018. He even faced Triple H in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 35 and lost. Following this match, The Animal announced his in-ring retirement.

During a recent interview with Cale Owen on the W.O.L.F. GYMS YouTube channel, Batista pointed out that it’s hard to walk away from the ring, which is why some wrestlers have multiple retirements. However, the WWE legend doesn’t plan on coming out of retirement because he had a storybook ending and he doesn’t want to tarnish it. He even said that he would rather go broke than wrestle again.

“It’s hard to walk away. Most people don’t. That’s why it’s almost like a running joke when wrestlers retire, because they never retire. They retire like five times.

People always thought over the years that I would come back, that I’d come out of retirement. I told them over and over, ‘I won’t.’ I had a f*cking storybook ending, and I won’t sh*t on it.

I’ll go do manual labor before I tarnish that. If I go broke again… I know what it’s like to be poor. I don’t like being poor. But I know what it’s like, and I will go f**king broke and be poor before I ever go back to wrestling. I will never wrestle again.” [H/T NoDQ.com]

Batista had a near-perfect WWE career. Therefore, there is no need for him to return to the ring since he doesn’t have anything to prove.
