Janel Grant Issues Statement After Lawsuit Against Ex-WWE Boss Vince McMahon Moves To Private Arbitration

Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon for sexual assault, trafficking, and sex abuse in January 2024, following which McMahon resigned from his position as executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings and from the WWE board of directors.

Earlier this week in Connecticut, both parties filed a joint status report in federal court agreeing to private arbitration, and therefore, Grant is expected to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice within five business days.

A few days after this news became public, Janel Grant took to her Instagram account to issue a statement.

Janel Grant Opens Up About Her Mental State

Without addressing anything about the lawsuit, Grant wrote that she has been struggling. She thanked her supporters for their love and support. Comparing her life to the Anderson Cooper podcast about grief, she stated that communicating with people has made her feel less alone.

She added that, despite her poor mental state, she’s been showing up because she believes in making a difference in the world.

I’ll be honest and say it… I have been struggling. It happened to be a perfect storm of everything and all at once. Thank you for checking in with me and for your patience. I have also received a lot of questions, and I hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

It is completely okay to continue reaching out and sending messages. I am communicating the same way I have been.
