2-Time World Champion Shockingly Pinned At AEW Redemption 2026
2-time ROH World Champion faces a big loss at AEW Redemption.
The Redemption PPV on July 26 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, kicked off with a six-way ladder match to determine the No. 1 contender for the International Championship.
Jack Perry, The Beast Mortos, Komander, Speedball Mike Bailey, Nick Wayne, and El Con faced each other for a future shot at the title in a grueling bout.
The match saw Speedball Mike Bailey come out on top by climbing the ladder and retrieving the contract, becoming the No. 1 contender for the International Championship.
Later, in the third match of the night, AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher defended his title against the reigning ROH World Champion, Bandido, in a singles match.
Don Callis accompanied Fletcher to the entrance but did not remain at ringside to watch Fletcher’s back because Fletcher had stated that he wanted to fight Bandido on his own.
Kyle Fletcher Retains The AEW International Championship
Despite Bandido using every move in his arsenal, he fell short as Kyle Fletcher defeated him to retain his gold. The Prototype nailed a brutal turnbuckle brainbuster on his opponent to pin him for the victory.
After the bell rang, Don Callis made his way to celebrate with Fletcher in the ring before both of them went backstage. Since Fletcher has retained the International Championship, he will defend the title against No. 1 contender Speedball Mike Bailey in the near future.
