Blockbuster WWE SummerSlam Match Officially Confirmed On SmackDown

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis temporarily stepped away from his duties on the blue brand as he steps into the ring to take on Gunther at WWE SummerSlam.

In his absence, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce assumed Aldis’ duties and was almost immediately confronted by Sami Zayn. He reached out to Pearce as he wanted his rematch for the title.

Pearce announced a huge main event for tonight and added a massive match to SummerSlam. He confirmed that a fatal four-way will take place as the main event.

The winner of the match will face Zayn at the Biggest Party of the Summer in a number-one contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

United States Champion Trick Williams, Royce Keys, and former Judgment Day partners Damian Priest and Finn Balor participated in tonight’s main event.

The match quickly delved into chaos as all four men were involved in a brutal fight. Keys dominated the early stages of the match before his momentum was put to an end by Damian Priest.

Sami Zayn’s WWE SummerSlam opponent confirmed

Priest was then slammed onto the announce table by Williams before Trick and Balor competed in a mini-singles match. It was then Balor’s turn to take control.

He cleared the field when everyone was brawling outside as he hit them with a dive over the top rope. This was when Solo Sikoa came out to ensure Royce Keys picked up the win.

Keys was taken out by a massive powerbomb by Balor and Priest before Trick hit the Book End on him. Solo saved him from the pin as he put his leg on the rope, but The Usos came out just then.

They were attacking Solo when LA Knight came to his aid before Priest took them all out with a crossbody. He then hit the South of Heaven on Trick and went for the win.

However, Keys broke the pin and shoved him into the ring post before hitting the USP. He was about to pick up the win, but Jacob Fatu pulled him out of the ring.

He decimated Royce on the outside and hit him with the Hip Attack into the barricade. Taking advantage of the chaos, Balor hit the Coup de Grace on Priest to pick up the win. He’ll now face Sami Zayn at WWE SummerSlam in a number one contender’s match.
