Sami Zayn’s First Challenger Officially Revealed On WWE SmackDown

Sami Zayn reached the pinnacle of success in WWE this past weekend at Night of Champions as he defeated Cody Rhodes and Gunther to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

The Last Real Good Guy came out to celebrate with his ride or die fans to open the show before the night became sour for the newly crowned champion, courtesy of acting SmackDown General Manager, Adam Pearce.

Things became a bit heated after Night of Champions between Nick Aldis and Gunther as they shoved each other backstage. Following that interaction, Aldis has been suspended from the blue brand.

Former WWE Champion to go after his total

This led to Adam Pearce announcing a major title match for Zayn on Monday Night RAW. He even announced that Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes will meet in the main event tonight, with the winner challenging Zayn for the title.

Both Cody and Jey wrestled a high-intensity match, and neither of them backed down from a fight. Uso gave it his all in the match and hit Rhodes with a Uso Splash and a Spear, but it wasn’t enough to put him away.

Cody then retaliated with a top rope Cody Cutter and a Spear of his own. He then hit a CrossRhodes on Jey, but the former World Heavyweight Champion kicked out. After a bit of a tussle with Jey, Cody hit another CrossRhodes to Uso and picked up the win. He will now challenge Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship on Monday Night RAW.
