Chelsea Green is off X/Twitter for now after an exchange with a fan who mentioned political beliefs.

The former 2-time WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green, is known for being a unique character who is over-the-top in many of the things she does.

When it comes to her social media behavior, Green tends to be humorous and not take herself too seriously, while playing up WWE storylines as most superstars do on social media.

However, things took a serious turn earlier on July 6th when a fan wrote: “Why did it take finding out Chelsea Green was MAGA for n***as to admit she was trash.”

The MAGA term (Make America Great Again) has been popularized in the last decade by supporters of Donald Trump and the Republican Party in the United States.

In a post on her X account @ImChelseaGreen, the WWE superstar defended herself and made it clear she was not MAGA.

“I can handle you saying things about my looks or my talent but what you won’t do is spread lies about my political views. Since you’re so interested in spreading misinformation, here are the facts:

– I am a Canadian citizen
– I can’t vote in America
– I am not MAGA
– I am a liberal / democrat
– When I become a citizen, I will vote for a president who believes in equal human rights”

As of this writing, if you go to Chelsea Green’s X account, it will say this account doesn’t exist. That’s because Green deactivated the account. That doesn’t mean the account has been deleted because Green could activate it in the future.

Chelsea Green Knows She’s Not A “Chosen One” in WWE

If you watch Chelsea Green regularly in a WWE ring, she has done well in terms of earning fan support after originally being a heel, but she isn’t winning many matches.

Earlier this year, Green admitted that she knows she’s not necessarily a “chosen one” in WWE’s women’s division. However, she’s still confident and proud of what she’s done.

“There’s a lot of chosen ones in wrestling, you see that happen, the machine has scooped you up and thrust you to the top, it’s amazing and some unbelievable stars come from it. But for me, my story is so different and relatable and I didn’t get everything handed to me, I was told no so many times.

There were a lot of people that told me there was nothing unique about me, and I figured out my niche and I think that’s really special and that’s what fans kind of attach to, like she is one of us.

When I go home, and I take my make-up off and I blend in at publics when I’m shopping for my groceries, I am just a normal girl. There isn’t necessarily anything special about me, but that’s what makes me special, is the relatability I think.”
