Unseen footage shows what CM Punk did after this week’s WWE RAW went off the air.

After nearly three months of absence from TV, CM Punk finally made his blockbuster return this week on RAW. Sami Zayn was supposed to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show. However, Cody got attacked backstage by Gunther before the match.

Therefore, Cody Rhodes was replaced by a returning CM Punk in the Undisputed title match against Sami Zayn. After a great match, Punk ended up defeating Zayn to capture the WWE Championship in his hometown of Chicago. Meanwhile, unseen footage after RAW went off air has emerged on social media.

In the video, Punk is seen celebrating his Undisputed title win with his family and friends sitting in the front row. The Second City Saint also remembered his wife, AJ Lee, by doing her signature skipping celebration at the ringside.

CM Punk on his potential retirement from wrestling

While CM Punk is currently on a great second run with the WWE, there have been questions about when he will retire, as he is 47 years old now.

Speaking on No Contest earlier this year, CM Punk was asked about his retirement, and he talked about how Japanese legends and John Cena had their retirement tour:

I really don’t know. It’s big in Japanese wrestling, the retirement tour. They’ve done that over there for many, many years. It was just new to Western wrestling fans. Cena did it, and I thought it was brilliant. Saying, ‘This is the last time you’re going to get to come see me. You get to see me wrestle or appear.’”

Punk further stated that he doesn’t like talking about his retirement because he doesn’t want to step away:

With me, I really don’t know. I almost don’t like talking about it because I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon. The way our business is, I like to keep some things shrouded in secrecy and mystery. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m trying to keep myself in one piece because I think I’m on the run of my life and doing the best work I’ve ever done. Why would I want to step away now?” said Punk.
