One of WWE’s biggest stars was kicked out of RAW after injuring Cody Rhodes.

After losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn at Night of Champions, The American Nightmare defeated Jey Uso last Friday on SmackDown to become the new number-one contender for the title.

Tonight on RAW, Rhodes was scheduled to challenge The Last Real Good Guy in the hope of recapturing the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, the 41-year-old was shockingly left bloodied following a brutal, unexpected backstage attack by Gunther.

The Ring General then confronted Zayn, telling him that he was now his problem, not Rhodes.

While the Undisputed Championship match is now up in the air following Cody Rhodes’ injury, Gunther was kicked out of the show by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce.

The Ring General was shown escorted to the door by security. Before leaving, Gunther had a brief verbal altercation with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who made a surprise appearance on RAW.

The Ring General and Aldis have had a physical altercation following Night of Champions and were both sent home by the company. It is now rumored that they will square off at SummerSlam.
