Will Ospreay Has Pitched For AEW To Run Historic Venue

Will Ospreay has made a huge pitch to AEW.

Will Ospreay is currently one of the best professional wrestlers in the world. His in-ring skills have helped put him on the map. Ospreay is known for his aerial moves that have helped him stand out from his peers.

As far as wrestling goes, there are very few people who can match the Aerial Assassin move for move. This makes him one of the most sought-after stars in the world. Although Ospreay has competed in several major arenas around the world, there are still some venues that he has yet to compete in. This excites Will Ospreay as he is looking to tick some of these venues off his bucket list.

Will Ospreay wants to wrestle in The Colosseum

During an interview with 107.7 The Bone, Will Ospreay commented on the fact that AEW has been hosting shows in some crazy venues and there are plans for Tony Khan to explore more markets.

“There isn’t actually a limit to what we’re able to do. I don’t know, for me the best bit about AEW right now is these crazy venues that we’ve been doing. These venues have been amazing, right? And I’ve heard Tony saying that he wants to go and explore different markets. I’ve heard — it was Puerto Rico that he recently said, he said France, and there are so many like crazy intricate venues that we could find ourselves in.”

Ospreay then stated that he would like to wrestle in The Colosseum. He said he had wrestled in Italy before in front of 120 people. If he gets the chance to compete inside The Colosseum, then he plans to come out in a little Trojan horse.

“But in Italy, I found out that they’ve been renting out The Colosseum to do like nightclub events and DJ events. I was just like, ‘Mate, if we did a pro wrestling event in The Colosseum, it would be incredible.’

Like I don’t know — I’ve wrestled in Italy before on a small indie and there was like 120 people, but they were wild. And I don’t know what the reach is there. But if there was wrestling in The Colosseum, I’m going… oh man, I’d come out in like a little Trojan horse. Like, a little toga on. I’d love it!”

He also stated that he has been pushing for Tony Khan to rent out The Colosseum for a show.

“I have sent him the little link. I sent him a link just being like, ‘Look, we could rent this building out, mate!’ So maybe if enough people push him into it, it’ll probably happen.” [H/T 411mania.com]

It remains to be seen if Will Ospreay will achieve his dream of competing in The Colosseum.
