CM Punk Makes Blockbuster Announcement Ahead Of WWE SmackDown
CM Punk became the new Undisputed WWE Champion on the July 6 edition of Monday Night Raw. He is set to make his first appearance as champion on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Ahead of his appearance on the blue brand, CM Punk announced that he will be part of every live event on WWE’s Summer Tour 2026, posting his full schedule on social media. Punk will cover the following live event dates:
July 11 – Las Cruces, NM
July 12 – Albuquerque, NM
July 16 – Allentown, PA
July 25 – Stockton, CA
July 26 – Bakersfield, CA
July 30 – Springfield, IL
August 6 – Fairfax, VA
August 13 – Manchester, NH
August 20 – London, Ontario, Canada
August 22 – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
August 23 – Calgary, Alberta, Canada
August 29 – Savannah, GA
August 30 – North Charleston, SC

CM Punk Reportedly Set To Turn Heel Soon
CM Punk heading to SmackDown is reportedly going to mark a huge turn in his career. According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, WWE might turn him heel upon his arrival on SmackDown.
Cody’s a babyface. Sami [Zayn] is gonna end up being Daniel Bryan here. I think we may finally get that CM Punk heel turn because the story here is basically he’s a hypocrite. He’s everything that he complained about.
Remember that promo he did, where he goes, ‘I’m always here,’ you know, unlike these Roman Reigns… Then he went home in April, disappeared until July 6th, and then waltzed in and took that belt, and obviously this is all storyline.
But like in storyline he’s everything that he’s complained about for decades, you know, these guys, that just, you know, older guys coming in, taking stuff, not working, I mean, that’s that’s what happened here. So he’s going to SmackDown, I think he might be [turning heel].”
