BREAKING: Security Officials Intervene To Save Chris Jericho From Shocking Assault In AEW
AEW hosted its annual Beach Break edition of Dynamite tonight as the show aired live from the The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida. The show was stacked with some massive matches for the fans.
The AEW World Championship is set to be defended in the main event where MJF will defend his title against former World Champion, Kenny Omega as the Cleaner looks to headline AEW All In.
The night was underway with the heated rivalry between Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa, as the duo faced each other in the opening match of the night. The two former WWE men were involved in a massive brawl last week.
Ciampa tried to jump Jericho during his entrace and but inaugural AEW World Champion was a step ahead as he didn’t come out from the stage. Instead, he came out through the crowd and caught Ciampa by suprise.
He dominated Ciampa on the outside even before the match began gaining the upper hand. He continued his dominance in the early stages of the match before Tommaso came back into the fight.
Once he gained control, he unleashed his vicious side that left Jericho bleeding from the head. Ciampa hit Jericho with a huge brainbuster on the steel steps, splitting his open before unleasing multiple punches to the wound.

With Jericho covered in a crimson mask, the former TNT Champion was firmly in control and focused his attacks on Jericho’s forehead whenever he tried to get back into the match.
Jericho seemed to make his way back into the match as he won a chop battle with Ciampa. He then hit him with multiple strikes to the head on the top of the turnbuckle, but Ciampa suddenly reversed it into an Air Raid Siren from the top rope.
Ciampa went up the top rope for another big attack, but Jericho launched him down onto the mat with a massive Hurricurana. They traded chops once again before Ciampa hit him with two massive knee strikes to the face.

He pinned the former AEW World Champion, but he kicked out at the last second. Ciampa then took his knee pad off and went for another, but Jericho reversed it into the Walls of Jericho.
In a desperate attempt, he reached for the steel bucket kept in the ring, but the referee took it away. He used the distraction to throw sand into Jericho’s face and hit him with a final knee strike without the knee pad and picked up the win.
The Psycho Killer didn’t just stop there as he took a steel chair and smashed it on Jericho’s head knocking him out cold. He then took out the drill and proceeded to use it on Jericho, but the security team intervened before Ciampa could proceed and he walked away.
