Kendal Grey Retains NXT Women’s Title With Statement Win Over WWE Legend

A massive main event was in store for the NXT faithful tonight as they were treated to a huge title clash. The main event saw Kendal Grey put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line.

Grey, who recently won the belt from Lola Vice at Great American Bash, defended the title against WWE veteran Nattie. A member of the famed Hart Family, Nattie has won almost everything in the promotion, barring the NXT Women’s Title.

Tonight was her chance to add the prestigious championship to her already glorious profile. Nattie had the numbers advantage as she had both Karmen Petrovic and the Evolve Women’s Champion, Nikkita Lyons, in her corner.

NXT Championship retained on tonight’s show

Grey took the fight to the WWE Legend and did everything in her power to keep hold of her title. She only had the WWE Women’s Speed Champion, Wrenn Sinclair, in her corner, and this almost cost her.

As the title bout headed towards the end, Pertrovic and Lyons came out to attack Sinclair. However, before the NXT Women’s Champion got dragged into the attack, Lola Vice came out to even the odds.

All four women brawled to the back as Grey and Nattie continued to fight it out in the ring. Kendal ultimately hit the Shades of Grey onto the WWE Legend to pick up the win. Following her match, she was surrounded by Vice, Kali Armstrong, and Kelani Jordan from all three sides as they staked a claim for the NXT Women’s Championship.
