WWE NXT continued to deal with the fallout from Great American Bash tonight as the show featured some important matches with huge implications on the title picture of the brand.

Two fatal-four-way matches were announced for the show tonight, with both being number one contender matches for the Women’s North American Championship and the NXT Tag Team Titles.

The in-ring action began with the first of the two number one contender matches, which saw DarkState take on OTM, BirthRight, and the team of Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux.

OTM put on a great showing in the opening stages of the match as the group dominated in the beginning. The other three teams worked together temporarily to get them out of the match.

Uriah Connors and Stacks then took advantage of the situation and began dominating Sean Legacy to take control. However, they weren’t around for long as DarkState took them out before OTM got back in the fight.

New NXT Tag Team Champions might be on the horizon?

A simultaneous hot tag allowed Van Dux to come into the match, and he put on a solid display before being taken out by OTM’s Bronco Nima. His tag partner came to his aid as DarkState attacked them both, taking both teams out of the equation.

Connors and Stacks capitalized on the situation and hit a massive double team move on Dorian Van Dux, but he kicked out at the last second. Multiple dives to the outside had the crowd excited before Osiris Griffin took everyone out with a tope.

Saquan Shugars looked to interrupt at this point, but was chased away by Dion Lennox. As OTM got involved in a brawl with BirthRight, Uriah Connors was left alone in the ring.

Van Dux attacked him with a massive splash from the top rope before Sean Legacy hit him with a springboard 450 splash to get the win and become the new number one contenders for the Vanity Project’s NXT Tag Team Titles.
