Ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champions Confirms He Is Officially Retired

A former WWE champion has just dropped a huge revelation.

The Great Khali first made his WWE debut in 2006 and turned a lot of heads due to his massive size. He was immediately pushed as a top heel in the company and feuded with some of the biggest stars in the WWE, such as Batista, Rey Mysterio, and The Undertaker.

During his time in the WWE, The Great Khali continued to achieve great success as one of the top heels in the company. He even made history by becoming the first-ever Indian born World Champion in the sports entertainment juggernaut. Despite his massive size, Khali’s biggest struggles came when it was time to cut a promo since he spoke Hindi, which not many people understood. This limited his push in the Stamford-based promotion, and he was eventually turned into a comedic character. After Khali parted ways with the WWE, he continued to make sporadic appearances for the company over the years. His most recent appearance took place at the Greatest Royal Rumble match in 2018. Now, it looks like the former World Champion will never compete in the ring again owing to knee problems.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Great Khali was asked if he is retired from the ring. The former WWE star replied in the affirmative.

“Yeah,” replied Khali.

When asked if there was a chance that the Punjabi Playboy would ever return for a Royal Rumble spot, he decided to keep fans guessing. However, he is sure he can’t compete on a full-time schedule.

“You never know. Maybe WWE will ask me one day if I can go. Just 1-2 days, not full-time, never, because of my knee, so I can’t go full time.” [H/T Chrisvanvliet.com]

Former WWE star The Great Khali revealed how fans attacked him with rocks after a brutal Rey Mysterio spot

In 2006, The Great Khali was involved in a feud with Rey Mysterio. After one of their matches, Khali locked in his vice grip on the WWE Hall of Famer, which resulted in blood spurting from his mouth. During the same interview, Khali revealed that the fans were furious after the match and they started throwing rocks at him in the parking lot.

“That match, I remember it was in San Antonio. Khali and Rey went face to face, they are booing me, cheering Rey Mysterio. I squeeze him, vice grip, he goes down. After, I go in the parking lot and people are throwing rocks, ‘You motherf*cker!’ So many people. All the guys, ‘You motherf*cker! You suck!’ I remember one time Dominik was backstage, I said, ‘You like me?’ He nodded. Somebody then said, ‘He doesn’t.’That was funny,” said The Great Khali. [H/T Chrisvanvliet.com]
