WWE Hall Of Famer On Infamous Rock Segment: “Tried To K*ll My Character”

A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about an infamous segment with The Rock.

The Great Khali made his WWE debut in 2006. He turned everybody’s heads due to his massive size and strength. Khali was immediately pushed as one of WWE’s biggest heels. As a result, he was put into a programme with some of the biggest names in the company at the time.

Khali feuded with Batista, The Undertaker, and other top stars. However, he failed to get over with the fans due to his inability to cut a promo. Khali often spoke in Hindi, which the majority of the audience failed to understand. Before long, his push came to a halt, and Khali was turned into a comedic character. He started calling himself the Punjabi Playboy and would host kiss cams where he would kiss members of the audience. He never managed to recover from this comedic role. On the May 2, 2011 episode of WWE RAW, during The Rock’s birthday celebration, The Great Khali dressed up as the World’s Largest Tooth Fairy. This segment is still remembered by the fans to this day.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Great Khali was asked about his infamous segment with The Rock. The WWE Hall of Famer replied that he still feels embarrassed by the segment and claimed the company tried to kill his character.

WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali opened up about his brutal spot with Rey Mysterio

The Great Khali was involved in a feud with Rey Mysterio in 2006. After one of their matches, Khali locked in his vice grip on the luchador, which resulted in the latter bleeding from his mouth. During the same interview, Khali opened up about the incident and said that fans were furious with him for what he did to Rey Mysterio.

“That match, I remember it was in San Antonio. Khali and Rey went face to face, they are booing me, cheering Rey Mysterio. I squeeze him, vice grip, he goes down. After, I go in the parking lot and people are throwing rocks, ‘You motherf*cker!’ So many people. All the guys, ‘You motherf*cker! You suck!’ I remember one time Dominik was backstage, I said, ‘You like me?’ He nodded. Somebody then said, ‘He doesn’t.’That was funny,” said The Great Khali. [H/T Chrisvanvliet.com]
