“SAMI WAS ROBBED,” Claims WWE Star

Sami Zayn’s World title reign lasted only nine days, as he lost the belt on the latest episode of WWE Raw.

Zayn won the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Cody Rhodes and Gunther at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This week on Monday Night Raw, he was scheduled to put his title on the line against The American Nightmare. However, before the match, Gunther attacked Cody. As a result of the assault, Rhodes was ruled out of action, and a replacement was appointed for him.

The replacement turned out to be none other than the returning CM Punk. Punk was last seen on Raw after WrestleMania 42, where he had an in-ring face-to-face segment with Cody Rhodes. Punk challenged Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship and won the match to become the new champion.

Following Sami Zayn’s loss on Monday Night Raw, his close friend, Becky Lynch, logged on to her Twitter account to claim that Sami was “robbed” of his title on Monday Night Raw.

When Sami Zayn won the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions, Becky Lynch was one of the first wrestlers to congratulate him on his title victory. She even shared an emotional tribute to her close friend on social media.

Clearly, Becky is very upset with Sami Zayn’s title loss.

Why Sami Zayn Lost His Undisputed WWE Title to CM Punk

According to Sean Ross Sapp, Sami Zayn was meant to lose the Undisputed WWE Championship to CM Punk upon the Second City Saint’s return to television. Sami winning the title at Night of Champions and dropping it just nine days later on WWE Raw was planned well in advance.

Well, this was the plan all throughout that. Like they knew that they were leading to this. They always knew that Sami Zayn was going to drop this title to CM Punk because they have known when CM Punk was going to come back for a while.”
