Backstage Fight Suddenly Breaks Out In WWE, Ex-AEW Champion Involved

Backstage segments are a staple in WWE that contribute to budding storylines.

One such case is that of former AEW and NXT star Blake Monroe.

After weeks of being featured in vignettes and a solitary appearance alongside Chelsea Green, Monroe debuted on SmackDown during its June 26 edition.

The episode took place in London’s O2 arena ahead of the Night of Champions PLE. One of the matches on the show saw Giulia face her former representative, Kiana James, in a grudge match.

While The Beautiful Madness managed to beat James, Monroe viciously assaulted her shortly afterward before planting her with a sitout slam.

Blake Monroe has been intent on spreading the word about her arrival and her goals for the roster. On last week’s SmackDown, she interrupted a backstage interview with Giulia before attacking her. The Glamour followed suit with Kiana James as well.

WWE shared an exclusive video on its social media platforms where another top superstar fell victim to the 27-year-old’s antics during the July 10 taping.

Blake Monroe Attacks Chelsea Green On WWE SmackDown

The July 10 episode of WWE SmackDown was not for the weak-hearted, especially when it came to the beatdown endured by Alexa Bliss.

After beating Bliss in a singles match, Jade Cargill trapped her arm in a steel chair and bent it in a way that her hand looked out of place.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviewed the Women’s United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton, whom she referred to as one of Jade Cargill’s targets.

Chelsea Green interrupted them, proposing that she and Stratton target winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The duo was immediately confronted by Nia Jax and Lash Legend, who staked their claim to the tag titles.

After a brief back-and-forth, all the women left, leaving Green in front of the camera. She was then blindsided by Blake Monroe, who struck her on the back of her neck before shoving her into some equipment cases.

Monroe’s backstage antics have left several female superstars looking for her, which might result in them challenging her soon. Fans have speculated that Green might be first in line.
