Gunther Breaks Silence After Attacking Nick Aldis On WWE SmackDown
Gunther has threatened to create more violence following his attack on Nick Aldis on WWE SmackDown.
On the July 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the Austrian wrestler confronted Nick Aldis, demanding a World Title shot. Aldis, who already had some issues with The Ring General, gave him a match, but not the one he wanted.
The SmackDown General Manager booked the former Imperium leader in a tag team match with Sami Zayn against the team of CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18.
This decision infuriated the former World Heavyweight Champion, and he snapped, which led him to brutally attack Aldis in the middle of the ring. The crowd watched as he choked out the SmackDown General Manager while security personnel tried to stop him.
Gunther Says He Won’t Back Down
Now, days after his attack on Nick Aldis on WWE SmackDown, Gunther has finally broken his silence. He shared an Instagram post making it very clear that he has no remorse for his actions and threatened that he would continue this path of violence unless Nick Aldis meets his demands.
I wont back down! #Gunther #RingGeneral #WWE” he wrote.

On a recent edition of The Bryan & Vinny Show, the renowned journalist criticized the potential Gunther vs. Nick Aldis match at SummerSlam. He also called out WWE creative for The Career Killer’s underwhelming booking this year.
“I honestly think the biggest flop of this entire year has been the follow up to Gunther retiring all these guys. He loses to Cody, then he loses to Cody twice in one night and now he’ll be facing a GM at SummerSlam.”
