Fan interactions are occasionally a part of a wrestler’s schedule, especially around a major PLE.

However, going in blind and meeting unknown people poses a risk for WWE wrestlers, which is no secret, especially given recorded incidents in history.

Furthermore, this risk is not restricted to female superstars, as male wrestlers have spoken about their experiences, too.

More recently, former NXT North American Champion Ethan Page shared details about a shocking incident with a fan.

During an appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, the current WWE Raw star was asked about confronting a fan at a meet-and-greet session, where he believed they touched his rear end.

Throughout the interview, the 36-year-old maintained his heel persona, even as he narrated his awkward interaction with the fan.

He did though and this is what I am talking about. I’m as genuine as possible. But when people do things and it’s like, “Listen, I understand it was an accident maybe, but I’m for sure going to call you out on it because it happened and I want you to know that I know it happened. WWE Star Ethan Page Goes Off On Wrestling Legend

Judging by Ethan Page’s interaction with the fan at the meet-and-greet, it is safe to assume that he is outspoken and will say what’s on his mind.

During Insight, the WWE star was asked about his Canadian version of the NXT North American Championship.

In response, Page claimed that he had no idea about how that version of the title came to be because no one discussed that with him. He was only told that the belt was being customized. Page, however, called it fantastic as it helped generate more heat around him on the developmental brand.

Chris Van Vliet then asked him if he had connected with wrestling legend Lance Storm after the title was revealed to him.

Vliet’s reference was to Storm’s WCW run in 2000, where he won three titles (WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, Cruiserweight Championship, and WCW Hardcore Championship) in quick succession, which he renamed the Canadian Heavyweight Championship. Storm also put large Canadian flag stickers on the titles.

Responding to the host, the WWE star claimed that he had not spoken to his compatriot, stating that the comparison offended him.

He got stickers! I got a legitimate custom championship in the WWE. That guy slapped on magnets. Brother put some stickers on some championships. I made the WWE bend the knee. That’s a lot different.

Ethan Page was then made aware that Storm held more titles than him, to which he said his title run mattered because it lasted longer.

Well, first of all, I only need one championship that I would hold for a record amount of time, and a record amount of title defenses, more than anyone that’s ever held the championship. So, yes, he might have held many championships, but still have guys like Ultimo Dragon. That guy sucks too.

This to me, look, you can have as many props as you’d like to boost your ego. It’s great. One championship is enough for me, and it’s what you make the championship. And I’ll say, while I was North American Champion, it was the most prestigious championship in all of WWE.
