Baron Corbin Set For WWE In-Ring Return In Major Title Match

Baron Corbin is set to compete in a major title match.

Baron Corbin first made his WWE debut in 2012 when he competed on NXT. After a successful run in NXT, Corbin was called up to the main roster.

During his time on the main roster, Corbin was able to win the United States Championship, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, King of the Ring, and the Money in the Bank briefcase. However, he was still not able to get over with the fans. Over the years, WWE had to rebrand him multiple times. Despite this, he was still never able to get a major push. Corbin was even moved back down to NXT again, where he formed a tag team with Bron Breakker. They even ended up winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. Corbin was released from WWE in 2024. Last week on WWE SmackDown, Trick Williams defended his United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes. During the bout, Baron Corbin made his return and attacked both men, indicating that he had his eyes on the title.

WWE will he hosting its 2026 Summer Tour, which will begin on July 11th. On July 26th, WWE will host a show at the Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, California. Dignity Health Arena has taken to Facebook to announce that CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will team up against Gunther and Sami Zayn. Another match announced was the United States Championship match, as Trick Williams will defend his title against Carmelo Hayes, Ricky Saints, and Baron Corbin. The Vision will also defend the World Tag Team Titles against The Usos.
