A WWE veteran blasted the current World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, for his recent move. The veteran in question is Jim Cornette.

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest names in the realm of pro wrestling today. The OTC is currently the face of RAW on Netflix as the World Heavyweight Champion. Recently, Roman showed up at the UFC Freedom 250 event in the White House.

He attracted a lot of controversy with his appearance, as many people questioned his political stance. Meanwhile, Jim Cornette also reacted to Reigns’ White House appearance.

Speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette slammed Roman Reigns for attending the UFC Freedom 250 event in White House, calling him an “attention wh*re”:

He’ll go to Saudi Arabia. He’ll go to the White House. He’ll go wherever they’ll pay him. He’s just an attention wh-re. He’s a big enough star he could have said no f***ing way to the White House. So, we now know he’s one of them and what he’s all about. Boring and questionable values.” [H/T ewrestling.com]

Roman Reigns on his future in the WWE

During an interview earlier this year, Roman Reigns addressed his potential retirement plans. Roman said that he still has a lot to offer despite entering his 40s, and also revealed how his career could be extended:

There is still a little more juice to squeeze. Almost there, but not quite. I still feel like I have a lot to offer. I’m 40 years young. With everything that we have within sports science, nutrition, all the information we have, careers have been extended.”

Reigns further stated the following while concluding that he still has so much left to do creatively:

We also get to a point where you grind it out early in your career, and then once you get towards the back end, that equity kicks in, and then you get into a different ballpark as far as finances. I’m not going to leave the park now.”

If the ATM machine is broken, you’re not going to run away from it. You’re going to keep collecting that money. I still feel like, creatively, there is so much left for me to do, and there is still a great deal of earning for me to take advantage of,” said Roman.

Meanwhile, The OTC continues his reign as the World heavyweight Champion, and it will be interesting to see who his next challenger will be.
