WWE Star Roman Reigns Confesses: “I Never Thought It Would Happen”
WWE star Roman Reigns recently made a surprising confession regarding his daughter.
This weekend, Reigns is set to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Ahead of his singles match with The Second City Saint, Roman Reigns was featured in a YouTube video where watch expert/enthusiast Nico Leonard reviewed his watch collection.
Reigns talked about a bunch of things, including his eldest daughter and her boyfriend. He admitted that he didn’t expect any guy to approach his daughter, let alone date her, because of his intimidating aura.
Therefore, he gave the young man credit for being confident enough to date his daughter, praising him for being open and honest rather than secretive or awkward, as young boys often are. Roman Reigns also expressed his approval, stating that the boy is very “respectful and a good kid.”
“I never thought it would happen. I thought that, you know, like the way I intimidate other people, it would just work with that, but she’s so beautiful that there’s a crazy little guy out there that put his life on the line. And, you know, I’ll give it to him.
He’s not a shy guy. He doesn’t hide. He’s not one of those kids that, like, you have, I’ve never met your boyfriend. He comes over. He’s very respectful. He’s a good kid. He’s a good kid.”
Roman Reigns Has No Immediate Plans For Retirement
While speaking to Nico Leonard, Roman Reigns also shared his retirement plans. The Original Tribal Chief stated that he is not looking to hang up his boots anytime soon. He wants to stay in the business as he feels he can still do much more.
“There is still a little more juice to squeeze. Almost there, but not quite. I still feel like I have a lot to offer. I’m 40 years young. With everything that we have within sports science, nutrition, all the information we have, careers have been extended.
We also get to a point where you grind it out early in your career, and then once you get towards the back end, that equity kicks in, and then you get into a different ballpark as far as finances. I’m not going to leave the park now.
If the ATM machine is broken, you’re not going to run away from it. You’re going to keep collecting that money. I still feel like, creatively, there is so much left for me to do, and there is still a great deal of earning for me to take advantage of.”
Roman Reigns also talked about his next goal in WWE, saying that he wants to be a championship holder again and remind people what it is like to be a true champion.
