Major New WWE Signing In Las Vegas For WrestleMania Week
A new WWE will be in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week.
On April 2 it was reported that Rusev, formerly Miro in AEW, had re-signed with WWE.
The report claimed that the former United States Champion had been spotted at company HQ where the “stage was being set” for his return to television. Rusev spent ten years with WWE between 2010 and his release in 2020.
Following his departure, the Bulgarian star headed to AEW, but despite moments of promise, many felt his stint with the company was underwhelming. During his time with AEW, he won the TNT Championship once.
The star’s last match for AEW came in December 2023, but he wasn’t officially released until February 2025. Incidentally, that match at Worlds End was also Andrade’s last for the promotion.
There’s no word on when Rusev will be back on television, but a new booking might have given a hint.
Rusev To Return At WWE WrestleMania?
It’s been announced that the star will be making “special guest appearances” between April 16 and April 18 for KnokX Pro in Las Vegas.
The promotion, which is based in Southern California was founded by Rikishi and Reno Anoa’i, is a WWE ID partner.
While it’s believed that Rusev has signed with WWE, his wife and regular on-screen partner CJ Perry hasn’t. The report noted that Perry, who was known as Lana during her first run with Rusev, wouldn’t be back with the company, although things can change.
WrestleMania 41 is set to be held at Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and April 20.
