A former WWE champion may never wrestle again.

When Ryback first made his WWE debut, he gained a lot of traction and got over with the fans. Many fans compared him to Goldberg. Ryback would destroy his opponents every week on WWE TV.

His popularity led him to get a massive push in the sports entertainment juggernaut. It didn’t take long for him to be put in the main event scene against some of the biggest stars in the company at the time. However, this also exposed him as a stiff worker. CM Punk has previously blamed Ryback for hurting him in the ring. Hence, The Big Guy’s push was quickly squashed before he was moved down to the mid-card. Ryback even failed to get over as a Paul Heyman Guy. Eventually, Ryback and WWE parted ways. Since then, he has been vocal about his previous employer. His last wrestling match took place in 2018.

During an episode of Behind The Turnbuckle Studios’ The Coach & Bro Show, Vince Russo revealed that he recently had a discussion with Ryback. Russo claimed that the former WWE star is physically messed up, and he would be shocked if he ever wrestled again.

“Bro, I recently had a discussion with Ryback. Bro, he’s physically messed up. His shoulder, Ryback’s, I would be shocked if Ryback ever wrestles again. His shoulder is in really, really, really bad shape. I just want you to know.”

Former WWE star Ryback opened up about his worst match ever

During an episode of his Conversation with The Big Guy podcast, Ryback revealed that the worst match of his career was with Jinder Mahal during their developmental days. He said that the match was impromptu and nothing went right for them in the bout. He also explained that Jinder Mahal was new to developmental at the time.

“The worst match of my entire career was with Jinder Mahal. We ended up doing a match on the fly, and it was probably my worst match ever. Just nothing went right, and Jinder was super-new to developmental at that time. It was really f***ing funny actually, but it was after NXT and we all were down there. The Nexus thing hadn’t happened yet.”

Despite this match, Jinder Mahal went on to achieve massive success in the WWE and eventually won the World Title.
