A new report provided a concerning update regarding LA Knight’s WWE creative plans.

LA Knight joined the WWE in 2021 through the developmental brand, NXT. A year later, The Megastar was called up to the main roster and rebranded as ‘Max Dupri.’ Nevertheless, Triple H named him back to ‘LA Knight’ after taking over as the creative head. Fans have been rallying behind Knight for the past few years and want to see him win the World Championship.

However, LA Knight is still waiting for his big moment, as he has yet to achieve something big aside from two US title reigns. Knight recently participated in the ongoing King of the Ring tournament, but he lost his first-round match to Jey Uso. While there is a section of fans who are still hopeful that Knight will eventually become the World Champion one day, a new report has come up regarding his potential future.

Worrying report regarding WWE’s creative plans for LA Knight

According to the latest exclusive report by Sportskeeda Wrestling, LA Knight being in the main event doesn’t make sense to multiple people backstage in WWE, despite many fans wanting him at the top. Some people backstage believe that there will be no long-term benefit in giving Knight the World title:

Not everyone is happy with the way things have gone. Him being in the main event makes sense to fans but not to MULTIPLE people backstage who feel that giving LA the title would be a one and done thing with no real long term benefit. He has one or two people who have spoken up for him for sure, and Triple H did hint that there was a plan, but either way it’s not expected to be a long term one if it happens.”

The report further stated that people in WWE backstage feel that fans would eventually turn on LA Knight, the more they keep chanting for him. The report concluded that giving push to Jey Uso has brought support for Knight, but he will be done if Triple H starts disliking him:

The more some fans shout about LA, the more some of those backstage feel that they would turn on him soon. But giving it to Jey has certainly brought support for LA and that can only be positive. But big problems. Big problems. If Triple H starts to dislike him, he’s done. Maybe too late.” [H/T Sportskeeda]

It remains to be seen what’s next for LA Knight.
