An ex-WWE star officially confirmed his departure from a major wrestling promotion. The star in conversation is Sami Callihan.

Sami Callihan made his pro wrestling debut back in 2006 and has performed all over the world throughout his career. He also had a brief run in the WWE under the name ‘Solomon Crowe’ back in 2014-2015. However, he never made it to the main roster after his NXT run. Callihan was with TNA Wrestling for the past several years.

Last year, Sami Callihan announced his retirement from in-ring competition and shifted to a backstage role in TNA Wrestling. Taking to the X social media platform recently, the 38-year-old veteran confirmed his release from TNA with the following statement.

Thought I was getting called today to be offered a position in creative… nope. I’ve parted ways with TNA.”

Sami Callihan also urged fans to watch his indie promotion, Pro Wrestling Revolver:

Oh well… onward to the next adventure. Check out my company @PWRevolver

A recent report from Fightful Select also revealed that Sami Callihan was well-liked in TNA backstage, and some people were pushing for him to join the creative department before he got released from the company.

A WWE legend recently announced his departure from TNA as well

The WWE legend, Tommy Dreamer has also departed TNA Wrestling. Dreamer was with the promotion for the past several years in an executive role and in-ring performer, and this was his third run in the company.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio recently, Tommy Dreamer revealed that he is no longer in a relationship with TNA after speaking with the company President, Carlos Silva:

All relationships come to an end. I had a great conversation with Carlos Silva. Me and TNA are no longer in a relationship. We mutually agreed to part ways. It’s hard. I’ve given so much of my life to that company. I don’t have any ill will or malice.”

WWE legend also assured that he has no malice with TNA, but he needs a break:

I wanted to survive and be the best I can be. It was a 24 hour job and I had it for ten years. Everything comes to an end. I know I’ll be okay. I hope TNA will be okay. There are no issues or malice. At this time, we just need to take a break.”

Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for Tommy Dreamer.
