WWE legend announced his departure from a major promotion with a heartfelt message. The legend in question is Tommy Dreamer.

Tommy Dreamer achieved a legendary status during his time in ECW and WWE. During his tenure in the Stamford-based promotion, Dreamer captured the Hardcore Championship 14 times and became the ECW Champion once as well. Dreamer also had multiple different runs in TNA Wrestling, where he first joined in 2010.

For the past several years, Tommy Dreamer was a part of TNA Wrestling as an executive and in-ring talent. Meanwhile, the WWE legend has surprisingly announced his departure from the promotion after his third tenure.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio recently, Tommy Dreamer disclosed that he has parted ways with TNA after a conversation with the company President, Carlos Silva:

All relationships come to an end. I had a great conversation with Carlos Silva. Me and TNA are no longer in a relationship. We mutually agreed to part ways. It’s hard. I’ve given so much of my life to that company. I don’t have any ill will or malice.”

Tommy Dreamer also detailed his job in TNA for the past several years and admitted that he needs a break:

I wanted to survive and be the best I can be. It was a 24 hour job and I had it for ten years. Everything comes to an end. I know I’ll be okay. I hope TNA will be okay. There are no issues or malice. At this time, we just need to take a break,” said Dreamer. [H/T Fightful]

WWE legend on spending over three decades in pro wrestling

Back in 2022, the WWE legend, Tommy Dreamer opened up on completing 33 years since his first wrestling match and how he is blessed to still wrestle:

My life is blessed. Actually today, when we’re filming this interview, October 28, is my thirty-third year of my first-ever match. If anybody could give words of inspiration, you’re looking at somebody, I just wanted to have one match. Then one match turned to two, and [I’ve] had a 33-year career. I’m very, very blessed to still be wrestling.”

Like I keep saying, man, this is all I’ve ever wanted to do. Life is hard, as well as if you work hard, you can succeed and follow your dreams, no matter what they are gonna be.”

Tommy Dreamer is still an active wrestler and competed in his last match a few weeks back.
