Jon Moxley’s AEW Future Officially Confirmed
The AEW Continental Champion, Jon Moxley, has faced a bit of a tough time on Dynamite for the last couple of weeks, as things haven’t really gone his or the Death Riders’ way.
Ever since winning the Continental Championship from Kazuchika Okada, Moxley has been a fighting champion and has regularly put his title on the line against all sorts of competitors.
He defended his title against Shane Taylor last week on the Summer Blockbuster edition of Dynamite, and despite retaining the belt, he had a sad end to his night as he was taken out by Taylor following the match.
AEW Continental Title match confirmed for Forbidden Door
As he looked to put that beatdown behind him, he suffered a major loss tonight on AEW Dynamite as well. He and Daniel Garcia suffered their first loss as a team tonight as they were defeated by Brodido.
Following their win, Bandido, who pinned Garcia to pick up the win, seemed full of confidence and looked to challenge Jon Moxley for his Continental Championship.
Moxley warned Bandido that he would have to do it all by himself, as no one would be present on the ringside. The ROH World Champion didn’t deter from the challenge, and the match was confirmed for AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door.
