WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce Comments On New Role
The new WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has commented on what his new role means to him.
On WWE Smackdown in Tulsa, the “Season Premiere” episode was full of big news and announcements. That included WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque making an appearance to announce the new General Managers of Raw & Smackdown.
Triple H did his promo with WWE Official Adam Pearce in the ring. Hunter said that Pearce did such a great job as the WWE Official in charge of talent and matchmaking (on-screen) over the last three years, so now he’s getting a promotion to become the new General Manager of Raw.
This was in addition to Triple H announcing Nick Aldis as the Smackdown General Manager as well. Aldis has worked for WWE for about two months as a Producer.
Adam Pearce has been working behind the scenes for WWE as a Producer for the last decade. For the last three years, he has been an on-screen character as well. Prior to his WWE career, Pearce was a successful wrestler as a former NWA World Champion while also working for Ring of Honor as a wrestler and booker.
The new Raw GM Adam Pearce went on Twitter/X to issue this statement about his new role.
“For the last ~4 years I’ve been honored to lead the governance of #SmackDown. Without question, it’s one of the great blessings in my professional life. But for everything, there is a season… With great yet bittersweet pride, I now turn her reins over to @RealNickAldis.
I know that Nick will treat this shared legacy with the same respect he’s given to our past shared honors, and I’m excited to see what path he sets the blue brand on going forward. As for me, 100% of my passion now goes to the flagship, #WWERaw
Here’s to new beginnings, renewed passion for the tasks at hand, and to gratitude for all that have crossed my blue path for the last 4 trips around the sun. See ya at the #WWEDraft, Nick! It is official.”

Adam Pearce joins a long list of big names in WWE filling the General Manager role
The role of the General Manager in WWE storylines is something that goes back to the summer of 2002. In that initial brand split, Vince McMahon was the owner running Smackdown while Ric Flair was the owner running Raw. By July, WWE decided to go with General Managers with Eric Bischoff shockingly running Raw as the GM for the next three years while Stephanie McMahon was the GM of Smackdown.
While Eric Bischoff is regarded by many to be the best Raw GM ever, other big names in WWE history like Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Stephanie McMahon, John Laurinaitis (People Power!), Vickie Guerrero and others as well.
On the Smackdown side, Teddy Long is most known for being in the role of Smackdown GM since he was in charge for about six years during his two runs. Vickie Guerrero was also an infamous Smackdown GM while other legends like Booker T, Daniel Bryan, and Paul Heyman were in the role.
