WWE Planning More Returns After AJ Lee & Brock Lesnar
Within a month’s time, WWE’s paradigm shift is for everyone to see.
The Stamford promotion is going big, and possibly breaking the bank, to bring back former wrestlers either as permanent additions to the roster or to fit a specific storyline.
Two of the biggest names to return recently are Brock Lesnar and AJ Lee.
Lesnar returned on Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam after the main event match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, laying out Cena with an F5. He repeated his actions on the September 5 taping of SmackDown.
On the other hand, after much speculations, AJ Lee made her presence felt on SmackDown in Chicago to confront Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. It was her first appearance in over ten years.
In a backstage video shared by Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Lee was seen signing a new contract.
According to Cory Hayes of Bodyslam.net, a few more returns are lined up in the near future.

Chris Jericho Open To WWE Return
Chris Jericho has not appeared on AEW since April.
More recently, there have been speculations about his possible return to the Stamford promotion.
While AEW President Tony Khan intends to keep Jericho on his company’s roster, the former World Wrestling Entertainment Champion has claimed that he is open to the idea of joining his former employer.
During a recent chat with the Daily Mail, he said:
I’m still with AEW for right now. Would I go back to WWE? I wouldn’t be opposed to it. We just have to see what happens. The best thing that can happen is to have two great teams that you can play for, and that just makes everything bigger and more exciting.
