AJ Lee has signed a new contract with WWE.

The Black Widow left the Stamford-based company in 2015 after a successful six-year run. The three-time Divas Champion stepped away from wrestling for a decade before finally making her comeback yesterday on SmackDown.

The 38-year-old returned to help her husband, CM Punk, in his feud with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. After The Man cost The Second City Saint the World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash in Paris, she laid her hands on him on Monday Night RAW and even last night on the blue brand.

On RAW, Punk promised Lynch that she would regret putting her hands on him. Last night, he told her that although he would never hit a woman, he knew someone who would, bringing out his wife. Lee attacked Lynch, forcing her out of the ring.

Triple H Confirms AJ Lee Has Signed A New WWE Contract

After SmackDown, Triple H celebrated AJ Lee’s return with a backstage picture with his signature point pose. He also shared a heartfelt message for her on social media.

Meanwhile, the WWE Chief Content Officer also posted a backstage video of the former Divas Champion signing her new contract with the company before her appearance on SmackDown.

“Ink to paper…the calm before the storm,” Triple H captioned the video.

The Game was seen telling Lee, “Ten long years,” after she signed the new deal. He also thanked her for trusting WWE as he signed as well.

“Thank you for having me,” Lee responded.

After SmackDown went off the air, AJ Lee made her intentions clear as she picked up the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and celebrated with it. It would be interesting to see if the returning star will challenge Lynch for the title soon.
