How The Rock’s Time In WWE Could Be Cut Short

The Rock WWE

The Rock will be taking a break from WWE in the coming months.

Back in December, it was reported that The Rock is set to play Mark Kerr in an upcoming movie about the former MMA star. The news went somewhat under the radar in wrestling circles due to the star only making occasional appearances on WWE television.

However, that all changed in 2024, and The Great One has been an ever-present on SmackDown ahead of his return to the ring at WrestleMania. Now it seems that the movie will have an impact on his WWE availability.

According to PWInsider, filming for the movie will take place between May 1st and August 1st, seemingly ruling The Rock out of making WWE appearances during the period.

While it was initially presumed the Hollywood star would only be competing at WrestleMania, a recent report claimed there was a feeling The Rock would wrestle multiple times in 2024.

The Rock To Play Big Role At WWE Hall Of Fame

It’s been reported that Lia Maivia will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2024. Maivia is, of course, The Rock’s grandmother.

According to the report, the WWE legend will be on hand to induct his grandmother, like he inducted his father and grandfather previously.

To date, WWE has announced Thunderbolt Patterson, the US Express, Muhammad Ali, Paul Heyman, and Bull Nakano for the class of 2024.
