More WWE stars have been released, including Dana Brooke and Maxium Male Models’ Mace and Mansoor.

In the wake of WWE’s merger with UFC under parent company Endeavor, more than 100 staff members were let go from the company on September 15th. While the layoffs initially affected office staff, a report indicated that talent cuts were also on the way.

Sure enough, on September 21st, multiple stars were released from their WWE contracts, including former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler. The releases have reportedly caused frustration backstage as the company announced a new huge money deal for SmackDown the very same day.

As the day continued, news of more releases continued to break, with Shelton Benjamin, Mustafa Ali, and Dabba-Kato among the list. PWInsider reports that Dana Brooke and Maximum Male Models have also been cut.

Mansoor took to social media to post a humorous response to his newfound freedom, noting that he will be available for bookings on December 20th. This is in line with the standard 90 day non compete agreement that main roster WWE talent face after being released. Video of his response can be seen below.

When Did Dana Brooke Last Wrestle In WWE?

Dana Brooke has been a fixture in NXT in recent months, aligning herself with Kelani Jordan. She most recently competed on the September 12th episode, losing to Lyra Valkyria.

Maximum Male Models have found themselves adrift since Maxxine Dupri aligned herself with Chad Gable and Otis in Alpha Academy. Mace and Mansoor haven’t competed in WWE since the May 15th episode of Raw, when they took part in a battle royal to determine the number one contender for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship.

A full list of stars released on September 21st can be found here. TJR Wrestling will continue to update the list as more information becomes available.
