AEW star drops a cryptic post ahead of Redemption
Former AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthew dropped a cryptic post on his official Instagram account, hinting at a possible return to the promotion.
He posted a picture of himself with the caption reading like an ominous warning to those who left him in darkness. The caption makes it seem that he may be hinting at tag team partner Brody King.

Matthews hasn’t been seen on AEW television in over a year owing to a broken ankle. He was last seen on the Grand Slam episode of Dynamite in February 2025.
He faced Kazuchicka Okada for the AEW Continental Championship, but was unable to get the win. He revealed following the match that he’d injured his ankle during his entrance, and that has kept him out of action ever since.
