Cody Rhodes Lands Movie Role In Comedy Classic Reboot
Cody Rhodes is a busy man as the Undisputed WWE Champion who has also landed a movie role in the remake of The Naked Gun.
As the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes has been a busy man who has appeared on Raw and Smackdown while also main eventing WWE’s recent European tour featuring several sold-out shows in front of hot crowds.
In this “New Era” of WWE, Cody is clearly in a leadership role as the top babyface in the company who has earned the respect of millions of fans. Cody is also inspiring the younger generation of the WWE Universe to follow their dreams just like he did.
It seems as if Cody will also be busy outside of the WWE ring because the Daily Mail is reporting that Cody has landed a role in The Naked Gun remake starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson.
The WWE Universal Champion, 38, will make a cameo, according to insiders, who have revealed he may be hypnotized in a nod to the original 1988 comedy.
The new movie – which will also star Liam Neeson, 71 – is based off the popular Naked Gun film franchise which starred the late, great Leslie Nielsen.
‘Cody may be having a huge feud with The Rock [Dwayne Johnson] in the WWE ring right now but it looks like the battle will extend to Hollywood as he is going to star in the new Naked Gun film,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.
The report added that Cody might be playing himself in the movie while adding that it’s an important role in the film.
“The Naked Gun” film from 1988 is a comedy classic starring the late, great Leslie Neilsen and there were three movies in the franchise.

As for his first big televised WWE Title defense, Cody Rhodes will have a tough test at Backlash on May 4th when he faces AJ Styles. Styles earned his opportunity by beating LA Knight on WWE Smackdown last Friday.
