It’ Official! Adam Copeland And Christian Cage’s AEW Future Confirmed At Redemption

The AEW World Tag Team Championships were on the line at AEW Redemption as Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defended the belts in their home country.

Adam Copeland made a massive return to Canada and was treated to a huge reception from the crowd. However, his entrance was cut short by the Death Riders.

Claudio Castagnoli and Pac, who were already in the ring, jumped Cope during his entrance and began assaulting him in a two-on-one scenario.

Cage came to his partner’s rescue, but the damage had already been done before the match. As the match began officially, Copeland was taken out of the equation.

Christian single-handedly took the fight to the Death Riders and gained the momentum in his homeland. It took some brute strength from Castagnoli to put him down.

He took him out with some heavy strikes before locking in the Sharpshooter. Copeland looked to come to his aid, but Castagnoli took him out with a sliding dropkick.

Pac then whipped him into the barricade before Castagnoli hit a massive Running European Uppercut into the barricade. He then sent him into the crowd and knocked him out there.

AEW All In match confirmed at Redemption

The Death Riders then began dominating Cage and hit him with a Giant Swing/Dropkick to the head combo. Cope made his way back.

Castagnoli went to attack him again, but was launched over the barricade this time. Christian then turned the tide momentarily and tagged Copeland in to a huge cheer.

He then took the fight to both members of the Death Riders before trapping Pac into a submission. Cage held onto Claudio, but the Swiss got himself free and broke the hold.

Cage and Cope then worked together to take out their opponents. They trapped them into the turnbuckle and hit multiple body splashes.

Cage then speared Claudio before launching a running Pac into the air, allowing Cope to spear him midair to pick up the win.

Following their victory, The Young Bucks came out to confront the champions before a huge match was confirmed for AEW All In.

The titantron showed the match graphic for a match between The Young Bucks and Cope and Cage, for the latter’s AEW World Tag Team Championships at All In next month.
