BREAKING: NEW WWE Champion Crowned On RAW Before SummerSlam
WWE hosted the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW tonight, live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
A massive title match was announced for tonight’s episode, which saw Sol Ruca defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez.
Ruca had faced Raquel for the title once before, but managed to get away with the win after some help from IYO SKY, who kept The Judgment Day at bay.
The match between the two women played out similarly to their last encounter. Sol got the upper hand early on and hit a beautiful Moonsault to Raquel on the outside.
Raquel seemingly broke her nose during the match and wrestled most of the match with blood running down her face. However, that didn’t stop The Judgment Day member.

She was in control for most of the bout, and just as Sol had gotten back into the match, Roxanne Perez came to Raquel’s aid. Ruca was ready for her though, and took her out with a huge kick.
The champion then ran to the other end of the ring, but was tripped by Liv Morgan. This allowed Raquel to hit her with a Big Boot, but it wasn’t enough for the pin.
Liv’s interference prompted IYO SKY to come out, and she took Liv out with a Meteora to the ring post, injuring her knee in the process.

This distraction helped Sol recover, and she went to hit the Sol Snatcher on Raquel, but Perez was present to smash her head on the ring post.
Raquel then picked her up with ease and hit the Tejana Bomb to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
