Sheamus On Major WWE Star: “He’s Just A Lunatic”
Sheamus calls a WWE star a “lunatic.”
The Celtic Warrior is on his way out of WWE. According to reports, WWE offered him a restructured deal, which he rejected and chose to walk away from the promotion. He hasn’t left the company yet, but is set to become a free agent by October 1, 2026.
Ahead of his official exit from WWE, Sheamus spoke on Adam’s Apple, where he talked about all the stars he never got to wrestle in WWE. One of the stars was Ilja Dragunov, and Sheamus stated that he really wanted to wrestle Ilja, whom he called a “lunatic,” just like him.
“Ilja Dragunov is another guy I wanted to wrestle. He’s just a lunatic. Same as me. He just wants to go out there, put the best fight he possibly can on. Ilja’s another one I never got a chance to dance with, but if he gets a good opportunity, Ilja will be a big hit.”
Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov have locked horns inside the squared circle only once, and that too involved Drew McIntyre, as it was a triple threat match. It was a Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat match, which took place in 2024.
Multiple Stars Unhappy With Sheamus’ WWE Departure
Sheamus, along with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston (who have already left WWE), is among the stars who are loved by the WWE roster. So when news of their departures broke, many were very unhappy and dissatisfied with TKO and WWE’s decision.
According to reports from Sportskeeda Wrestling, Sheamus, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston leaving WWE did horrible damage to locker room morale.
Multiple superstars have now started fearing that they could lose their jobs at any time, even if they are trending or popular at the moment. This has created a lot of frustration in the locker room toward Triple H and WWE.
