Becky Lynch Issues Bold Statement Amid WWE Hiatus

The former Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch made a bold claim about herself while she is on a hiatus from WWE TV.

Becky Lynch has been one of the top stars in the WWE for over a decade now. For a while now, Becky has been playing a great heel character onscreen. She also became a three-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion in the span of a year, and her last reign ended in May.

She last competed on an episode of RAW in June, where she lost her fatal-four-way first-round match of the Queen of the Ring tournament. During her hiatus from TV, Becky Lynch opened up on her importance on television.

Speaking on Off The Ropes recently, Becky Lynch boldly claimed that WWE needs her and she has to let them know by taking a rest:

We do need me, Sometimes you gotta let ‘em know. Sometimes you gotta point the torch. You gotta be the lighthouse. You gotta say, okay guys, what did you want? What did you want? Well, here’s the light. Here’s the rest. Here’s what it looks like without me.”

Do you like it? Do you like it? Is it exciting? Is it fun? No! It’s not! It needs more Becky Lynch, and then you come back and then everybody goes, I knew it. It was her all along,” Becky claimed. [H/T Fightful]

Becky Lynch wants a major accolade in WWE

In a recent interview with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story? Becky Lynch expressed the desire to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, which she hasn’t won yet in her career:

I think it’s a lot of years, isn’t it? And then it’s every goal that I wanted to take off the list I have bar one, just a silly, not that it’s silly, I want the Money in the Bank briefcase. And especially this character with the Money in the Bank briefcase.”

Lynch also weighed in on how fans will hate her for winning the Money in the Bank, as they would want someone younger to win it instead:

Everybody would hate it so much because they wanted to go to somebody younger, somebody up and coming, somebody who’s never been a champion before and ah. F*cking just love that in everybody’s face and have all the champions fear me. Oh, the power, you know.”

Only time will tell when Becky Lynch will be back on WWE TV.
